Website for Dino Lovers

sDino Directory
Created by Great Britain’s National History Museum, this website allows users to search for Dino information by body type, time period and country. The taxonomic details and realistic drawings that are given for each dinosaur are very cool! Just be careful because the site directs people to Wikipedia for more information and Wikipedia is not always creditable. Still this is a fantastic site. Check it out and let us know what you think!

Great Website- CultureGrams

This week I'm very happy to highlight CultureGrams. It’s one of the many electronic resources that the library subscribes to. It also happens to be my personal favorite. This site contains a ton of valuable information on countries and states. It’s very easy to use and kid friendly. Users just click on the state or country they are interested in and up pops a report with all kinds of fun and useful info including demographics, maps, pictures and cultural information. CultureGrams even provides ethnic recipes and national anthems! It’s perfect for those country reports.

This website is not open to everyone. The library subscribes to it so you will need your Forest Park library card number to access it from home.
